Session covers: An introduction to changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age, use of fieldwork; including fire-lighting and primitive art, understanding methods of historical interpretation and enquiry, chronology.

Follow the changes in technology and evolution during the 3.4 million years from the Stone Age to Iron Age, from fighting for survival to sophisticated society. How did early hunter-gatherers survive? Discover the animals with whom they shared their world and the plants they would have used for food and medicine. Gather materials and explore ancient and modern fire lighting techniques and try your hand at prehistoric art. Investigate how modern humans have built up a picture of these incredible times using archaeology and the evidence unearthed.
